Career

Song Kang made his television debut in the 2017 romantic-comedy The Liar and His Lover, in which he portrayed the main character's childhood friend. The same year, he was cast in the family drama Man in the Kitchen.


He also appeared in two music videos: "Sweet Summer Night" by acoustic duo The Ade and "Love Story" by Suran. He participated in Namoo Actors's "Introduction to Rookies" fan meeting on July 8, 2017 alongside Oh Seung-hoon and Lee Yoo-jin.


Song hosted SBS's music program broadcast Inkigayo from February to October 2018 alongside Seventeen's Mingyu and DIA's Jung Chae-yeon. 


He made his film debut in the film Beautiful Vampire in July 2018. Song also became a fixed member of the variety show Village Survival, the Eight. 


He was nominated in the "Rookie Award" category during the 2018 SBS Entertainment Awards for his work on Inkigayo and Village Survival, the Eight.

In 2019, Song played a supporting role in When the Devil Calls Your Name, an adaptation of Goethe's Faust. The same year, he landed his first lead role in the Netflix television series Love Alarm. He later appeared in Vibe's "Call Me Back" music video.

In 2020, Song starred in Netflix's Sweet Home, adapted from the webtoon of the same name. Song is set to star in the upcoming tvN drama Like a Butterfly in 2021.
