Sibusiso "SB" Moyo was a Zimbabwean politician who served as the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade in President Mnangagwa's government since November 2017 until his death on 20 January 2021 from Covid-19. SB Moyo is best known for announcing the military intervention on national television ZBC that toppled longtime leader Robert Mugabe in November 2017. Before becoming a minister he was a major general in the Zimbabwe National Army.
Education and Career
SB Moyo is a holder of Masters in Business Administration from Zimbabwe Open University, a Masters in International Relations from the University of Zimbabwe and a PhD in International Relations from University of Zimbabwe. SB Moyo is a war veteran. He joined the liberation struggled in 1977 at the age of 17. After war he joined Zimbabwe National Army where he rose to the rank of major general before resigning in November 2017 to become the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade.
