Jaime is the eldest child of Ken Xie, the CEO and founder of Silicon Valley cybersecurity company Fortinet, whose net worth is estimated to be around US$1.7 billion as of 2020. Jaime’s mother is from Taiwan and met her father when they both attended University of California, Berkeley.
Growing up, Jaime spent most of her time at the stables, taking care of her five horses and competing as an equestrian.
She left her traditional schooling to attend Standford’s online high school so she could continue to travel and compete. Upon graduation from high school, she enrolled into Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in Los Angeles, but left after a year to jump start her career.
