In Detroit, Deon's handsome face landed him the lead in Not Another Gospel Play.
He became a hair stylist and salon owner and owned and operated other small businesses to support his acting career. Deon lives in Hollywood, California where he began to further his career and, shortly after arriving, landed his first film and established Deon Derrico Entertainment, Inc. which is the umbrella corporation for a wide-ranging company offering acting classes, a talent agency, as well as production of film and television programming.
The Doubling Down with the Derricos star also has four films listed on his IMDb page, Duress (2009), Lucky You (2007), Rocky Balboa (2006), and Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous (2005) – with all having him in uncredited roles. The Derrico family first found fame when Karen gave birth to quintuplets in 2013 and was featured on The Today Show, Access Hollywood, etc.
Even though Deon’s reality TV break came in much later with Doubling Down with the Derricos this year, it seems like he was, after all, destined to shine on screen!
