Bartosz Gelner is a Polish theater, television and film actor.

Bartosz Gelner was born on April 25, 1988 in Chorzów, Slaskie, Poland.
He was born and raised in Katowice in a traditional Silesian family as the son of a doctor and engineer.
Early life & Education
He wanted to be a lawyer, sociologist or humanist. In the years 2004–2007 he attended the Academic Complex of Secondary Schools in Chorzów, and in 2005–2006 he was the Chairman of the Youth Council of the 1st General Secondary School in this institution. Together with his high school friends, he created "Kabaret na 3/4". After graduationhe entered theater schools in Warsaw, Kraków and Wrocław, but he never got anywhere. For a year he attended the Post-Secondary Acting Study Lart studiO (2008) in Kraków, and later was admitted to the Wrocław puppetry department, a branch of the PWST in Kraków. In 2008, he made his debut on the stage of Witold Gombrowicz's National Stary Theater in Trans-Atlantyk , directed by Mikołaj Grabowski, as one of Gonzalo's ( Jan Peszek ) boys. After graduating, he moved to Warsaw , where he began working with Nowy Teatr.
In 2013, he won the Award of the ZASP Theater Critics Section for the performance of Ceth - a young boy who is taken into a threesome by a gay couple - Jamie ( Maciej Stuhr ) and James (Piotr Polak) in the Warsaw Cabaret , dir. Krzysztof Warlikowski.
In 2014, he was among the actors reading Golgotha Picnic in front of the Palace of Culture.
On June 5, 2016, he was among the three finalists of the 7th edition of the competition for young artists "Talenty Trójki" in the theater category announced by the Polish Radio Three .
After the first year, he got a role in the series Przystań (2009) about a group of young people undergoing training in a water rescue base. In his third year of studies, he made his cinematic debut in the role of Aleksander Lubomirski, a friend of Dominik ( Jakub Gierszał ) in Jan Komasa 's psychological drama Suicide Room (2011).
After a very well-received and award-winning film, he got several offers to star in serials, without an audition. He then decided on Czas honoru (2011) as lieutenant Alan Krawczyk, who is thrown together with colonel Skotnicki ( Hubert Urbański ) from Italy as an aid to the Cichociemni.
In the years 2012–2016 he played the role of Bartosz Kosz in the TVP2 series Colors of Luck . After winning the casting for Tomasz Wasilewski's drama Floating Skyscrapers (2013), he received the first proposal for a leading character in a feature film. The role of the homosexual Michał, the boyfriend of the main character ( Mateusz Banasiuk ), earned him the Piotr Łazarkiewicz for Young Talent at the Polish Film Festival in Los Angeles.
Floating skyscrapers have been hailed as the first Polish gay film to be at the hotspot of the debate on homophobia , the situation of LGBT people , and partnerships.
He appeared in series such as Blood of Blood (2015) as Mateusz "Young", who is having an affair with the daughter of the mafia boss, and Single (2016) as Krystian, the title character's neighbor - a freshly graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts and a successful graphic designer who works in an advertising agency.
In the drama by Jakub Pączka Chain Reaction (2017) he played the character of Paweł Czarniecki, an ambitious and unfulfilled filmmaker who, in order to earn money, watches and evaluates pornographic films
He reprised the role of Konrad in Sexify, a 2021 Polish television series starring Sandra Drzymalska, Aleksandra Skraba and Maria Sobocińska.
