Alessandro Borghi is an Italian actor known for his work on On My Skin: The Last Seven Days of Stefano Cucchi (2018), Suburra (2015) and Romulus & Remus: The First King (2019).

He began working at Cinecittà studios as a stuntman between 2005 and 2007, and then moved on to small roles in television dramas. He made his film debut in 2011 with the film Cinque ; then gets the co-star roles in Criminal Rome (2013, in the part of Marco Lanzi), Suburra (2015, with the role of Aureliano Adami known as "Number 8") and Non Be Bad (2015, where he plays Vittorio, presented outside competition at the 72nd Venice International Film Festival ): with the latter interpretation he won the NuovoImaie Talent Award as best new Italian actor and was nominated for Best Actor at the 2016 David di Donatello .
In 2015 he was also awarded by Francesco Fiumarella, author of the "Vincenzo Crocitti" International Award, the recognition as best actor and revelation of the year.
In 2016 he appears as a guest, together with Alessandro Roja , in the third episode of Top Gear Italia.
In 2017 he played the singer Luigi Tenco in the biographical film Dalida , on the life of the homonymous singer , and was selected to represent Italy at the Shooting Stars Award , a prize for promising young European actors awarded during the Berlinale.
Also in 2017 he is the godfather of the 74th Venice International Film Festival. In October 2017 he starred in Suburra - The series , produced by Netflix and prequel to the homonymous film in 2015, returning to interpret the role of Aureliano Adami; on February 22, 2019, the second season of the series will be published on the streaming platform.
In 2018 he played the role of Stefano Cucchi in On my skin by Alessio Cremonini (also a Netflix production) with which he won the special Pasinetti Award for film and best actors, the Brian Award, the FEDIC Award at the 75th International Exhibition of film art of Venice and the David di Donatello as best leading actor. On the occasion he declared that the award he received "is from Stefano Cucchi".
Later he was the protagonist of the Italian blockbuster produced by Rai Cinema , Il primo re , directed by Matteo Rovere and interpreted together withAlessio Lapice , revisited version of the myth of Romulus and Remus , distributed in the cinema circuit from 31 January 2019, and of the comedy Di tutti i colori by Max Nardari, released in Italy on 18 June 2019 (after being distributed in Russia in 2017 with the title Liubov pret-a-porter ). In March 2019 he is the protagonist of the video clip of Monday , the song of the Italian rapper Salmo .
In 2020 he starred in the international co-production Diavoli , a television series based on the novel of the same name by Guido Maria Brera and set in the world of London high finance, co-produced and broadcast by Sky Atlantic and shot in English . In the Italian version the actor by his choice has decided not to dub himself (in fact he plays with the voice of Andrea Mete ), in which he is joined by Patrick Dempsey and Kasia Smutnia.
