Covid-19: Thokozani Khupe tests positive

The former MDC-T interim president, Thokozani Khupe has tested positive for Covid-19 after attending the MDC-T’s chaotic Supreme Court-sanctioned Extra-ordinary congress that was held on Sunday.

Several party members, including the top brass -Douglas Mwonzora, Morgen Komichi, Elias Mudzuri and Dr Tapiwa Mashakada, were also in attendance.

Khupe announced the development on her Twitter handle. She said:

“I have tested positive for coronavirus. I am now self-isolating and I ask for your prayers.”

This comes at a time when there is a surge in the cases of Covid-19, owing to the second wave
